Saint Thomas Fair (Txistorrada)

21^st December is the date for Saint Thomas Fair in Urdanibia Square, a time when local produce is brought to town. Star of the show is “txistorra” (spicy sausage). The produce and handicraft market is held in the morning and in the afternoon it is time for traditional Basque dances. Several stalls are set up where you can savour the delights of typical food and drink: talos  (cornflour flatbread), txistorra (a type of spicy chorizo pork sausage) and cider.
